Effect of eucalyptus leaf meal supplementation on feed intake ruminal ecology and microbial protein synthesis of swamp buffaloes Thai Agricultural

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of Eucalyptus (E. Camaldulensis) leaf meal (ELM) supplementation on voluntary feed intake, ruminal ecology and microbial protein synthesis of swamp buffaloes fed with rice straw. In this, ruminally fistulated swamp buffaloes with initial body weight of 321± 23 kg were randomly assigned according to a 4 x 4 Latin square design. The dietary treatments were different levels of ELM supplementation and were as follows: T1= 0 g ELM/hd/d; T2 = 40 g ELM/hd/d; T3 = 80 g ELM/hd/d; T4 = 120 g ELM/hd/d. Experimental animals were kept in individual pens, concentrates were offered at 0.3%BW and rice straw was fed ad libitum. การศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการย่อยวัตถุดิบอาหารในปลาโมง ด้วยวิธี In vitro protein digestibility Thai Agricultural

This study was undertaken to determine the in vitro protein digestibility in feed ingredients (fish meal, soy bean meal, corn and rice bran) in bocurti’s catfish at two sizes; small size with weight 30-40 grm/fish and big size with weight 80-100 grm/fish. This information was conducted to generat data for suitable feed formulation for bocurti’s catfish culture. Protease activity had optimum pH at 8 for stomach in both size of fish. Protease activity extracted from intestine with different pH had optimum pH at 12 and pH 10 for small size and big size of fish, respectively. การใช้โซเดียมไฮดรอกไซด์ปรับปรุงคุณภาพชานอ้อย เพื่อเป็นอาหารในโคนมรุ่น Thai Agricultural

The objective of this study was to determine effect of using treated sugarcane bagasse as roughage source of TMR on the utilization of nutrients and performance of dairy heifers. Twelve crossbred 98% HF blood heifers (175±20 kg.BW) was assigned to randomized completed block design (RCBD) The treatments were following as different NaOH level of treated sugarcane bagasse 0, 2, 4 and 6% and all of TMR was formulated to similar TDN and CP (65% and 12.5%). The results showed that the heifers fed treated sugarcane bagasse quality with 4% NaOH had better DMI, DMIBW and FCR than others, especially, the highest ADG in 4% (P<0.01). ผลของการใช้กากถั่วเหลืองหมักในสูตรอาหารต่อการย่อยได้ของโภชนะในลูกสุกรหย่านม Thai Agricultural

The objective of this study was to examine effect of using fermented soybean meal with pineapple peel juice in diet on nutrients digestibility in weaning pigs. Twelve male weaning pigs, 5-weeks-old were used in a completely randomized design (CRD). There were 4 treatments; group 1 and 2 were 22% protein diet with soybean meal and fermented soybean meal, respectively and group 3 and 4 were 20% protein diet with soybean meal and fermented soybean meal, respectively. The result was found that digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, protein, fat, fiber and ash in all groups were not statistically significant difference (P>0.05). The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of high protein premix on milk production in lactating dairy crossbreds on 15 smallholder dairy farms. Randomized complete block design (RCBD) was employed using 60 lactating cows by using each farm as a block. Four cows per farm were subjected into 2 groups to receive traditional concentrate diet (control) and protein premix mixed with the energy source to contain 18% CP. In this study, the influence of fibrolytic enzymes in diet contained tomato pomace as a fiber sources on carcass quality of 2 month old turkeys was assessed. A total of 24 birds were arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD). The birds were assigned to 4 dietary treatments: control diet (T1), control diet + 0.2% of fibrolytic enzymes (T2), control diet + 10% of tomato pomace (T3), and control diet + 0.2% of fibrolytic enzymes + 10% of tomato pomace (T4). This experiment aimed to investigate the effect of Mao pomace (MP) levels on degradability and rumen gas production using in vitro gas production techniques. The experiment was designed by a completely randomized design (CRD). The dietary treatments were supplemented by MP at 0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 mg with 0.5 g of roughage and concentrate ratio at 60:40. It was found that gas production from the insoluble fraction (b) had no effect (p>0.05) by MP supplementation, while potential extent of gas production (a+b) and gas production rate (c) were significantly different among treatments.
